Stainless Steel Oil Lines...
I'll be using Stainless Steel lines and Swagelok
fittings for the oil and brakes.
I get my fittings from Washington
Valve And Fitting in Frederick Maryland.
The fittings I will be using the most will be the 1/8"npt to 5/16" OD
tubing so
that is the fitting I'll describe here.

When
I worked in research I built gas and fluid handling systems out of these
fittings that typical ran at 3000 psi in both static and high vibration
environments. I bet my life on them. Here is a cutaway of a standard Swagelok npt to tube fitting. It's made from 304 Stainless Steel and is electro polished. They look great and will last forever. |

A
close up off the fitting and how it works. Note the multiple contact
points of the ferrules. Done right these things DO NOT LEAK. |

5/16"
.035 wall seamless stainless steel tubing. I'll may be using this stuff for the oil lines but I'm also leaning toward copper. |

Just
like the old days...when I did this for a living. These should give me many years of service. |
